The Táas collection, consisting of a desk and a cabinet handcrafted from patinated brass, pays homage to Mesoamerican metallurgical techniques and objects. Táas refers to a pre-Hispanic word that can be interpreted as the act of cutting and piercing through a material, linking traditional metalworking practices to a contemporary design expression. Constructed from flowing curves of laminated metal, the pieces are sculptural, with their openings and niches serving both mysterious and functional purposes. The layered brass elements create a sense of depth and dimension, intertwining both structure and elegance.
