The Nebulas are inspired by—and named after—the nebulas: interstellar clouds of gas and dust where stars are born. Each floating module is created using a technique developed by the studio known as caged glass, also referred to as encased or imprisoned glass. In this process, molten glass is blown inside a metal structure, allowing the glass bubble to find its way through the openings of the rigid silhouette, which ultimately determines its expression and direction.
La combinación de estos materiales, junto con un sofisticado sistema de iluminación, busca capturar —a través de un nuevo medio— la belleza de los gases nebulares en movimiento y la inmensidad del vacío del espacio exterior.

Diseñadas por EWE Studio, las Nebulas fueron posteriormente producidas en colaboración con Nouvel Studio, uno de los principales talleres de vidrio soplado en México, Nebula refleja el compromiso de EWE por trabajar junto a maestros artesanos para impulsar la experimentación material dentro de un contexto contemporáneo.
