‘UNEARTHING: The Alchemy of Mexican Metalwork’ exhibited the work of Mexico City designers Manu Bañó, EWE Studio, and Hector Esrawe, and surveyed the layers and evolution of Mexican craft through metalwork. It considered the act of digging into the country’s cultural and material roots, revealing the hidden or forgotten techniques, traditions, and stories embedded in metals and the landscape itself.
The show paid homage to Mesoamerican metallurgical techniques and objects through the Táas collection, consisting of a desk and a cabinet handcrafted from patinated brass.
