‘Memoria de la memoria’ ensures the continuity to EWE’s previous work, ‘Memoria Stools’, which emerges from the dialogue between spirituals beliefs and traditional objects used in the daily lives of artisans. A series of working stools that, by casting them in bronze, turn into a familys eternal memorie.
The fiberglass molds that are originally used for the reproduction of the ‘Memoria Stools’ are rescued and casted once again in bronze to preserve, in this ocasión, the ‘Memoria de la memoria’. This new series replicates the shape and texture of the fiberglass molds, while the shape of the original stools, are veiled and hidden inside.
