The meticulous craftsmanship of the Altar collection, in its desire to honor the process and raw materials, is inspired by the flat-surfaced pieces used in pre-Hispanic rituals and ceremonies, especially in sacrifices or offerings to the gods.
The Altar Bench follows the process of creation and conception of the works from the primary action of the subtraction of the raw material and its transformation. Exploring the technical possibilities, from the automated use of robots to artisan work, to create a series of functional pieces that do not neglect the aesthetic and sculptural value.
