GLASS

Of the most important – and current – exchanges that took place during the Conquest, was the glass technology. Expert Mexican hands alongside with foreign knowledge gave as a result, first world pieces like the ones produced by Nouvel Limited, partner in our blown glass production.

Glass needs to melt at more than 1600°C and then blown manually inside of steel or volcanic stones molds, materials resistant to these temperatures, resulting in pieces of glass that copy shapes and textures of other materials.

The variants with which we can play with this raw material are very diverse: thicknesses, shapes, textures to colors and finishes. At EWE Studio we are interested in experimenting with different processes to find the limits that glass can reach.
