EWE STUDIO

EWE is a design studio based in Mexico City dedicated to researching, experimenting, and honoring Mexico’s diverse artisanal history, techniques, and materials.

By committing to high-quality craftsmanship and delving deep into the multiple layers of the country’s culture and territory, EWE creates narrative pieces that seek to unearth untold stories and find new languages and material expressions that translate into contemporary design objects. The resulting pieces act as portals between the past and the present, the physical and the mystical.

EWE Studio was founded in 2017 by gallerist Age Salajõe and designers Manuel Bañó and Héctor Esrawe.

EWE represented by Oliver Gustav in Denmark, Collectional Gallery in United Arab Emirates, St. Vincents in Belgium, Ateliers Courbet in New York City, and with MASA Galeria in Mexico.
