Wood carving was one of the first techniques that men mastered, accomplishing the creation of tools that have lasted until our days. It requires of a great dexterity and sensibility, to transform a block or logs into objects whose raw material gives a great warmth to the touch.

At EWE Studio we are interested in experimenting with this process because of the expressivity that tools like gouges, chisels, axes and chainsaws reflect in the material. The wood gives us the freedom to test different processes in the finishes, such as the burning, giving more depth to the color and the history of our pieces. In this way, we rediscover one of the oldest processes in History for the creation of objects that interpret our present.
